Disseminate information to the local media outlets about the Auxiliary Public Education Courses, Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary public policy and Recreational Safe Boating Information. Southern California information can be found on the District Public Affairs website. |

| Operations
- The
Department
of Operations is responsible for the administration of the Auxiliary's Surface Operations, Air Operations, Telecommunications and Aids to Navigation Programs. Each of these responsibilities is represented by a specific Division in the Department. An Operations Education Division handles training criteria and information for the whole department. |
